Partnership in Education Training and Research Advancement (PETRA)

Formative & Summative Evaluation, Evaluation Capacity Building


PETRA is a consortium that promotes the improvement of health professions education at four higher education institutions in Zimbabwe.  A special focus of the consortium is to accelerate the development of inter-professional education and implementation science in Sub Saharan Africa, especially in areas of critical shortages of medical personnel.

Evaluation Approach

For this project, we are collaborating with evaluators across Zimbabwe to increase evaluation capacity. We serve as technical advisors on a mixed methods evaluation that uses validated surveys and key informant interviews to assess the degree to which the goals of the consortium are being met.
