Technical Assistance
Overview
The Evaluation Center partners with Caring for Denver to provide evaluation technical assistance and support to their grantees. This work provides free evaluation support to Denver nonprofits in being able to develop or improve their evaluation efforts in order to communicate the impact they are having in communities.
Evaluation Approach
Evaluators meet with grantees to assess their needs and identify areas for support, leading TEC to develop a customized scope of work in collaboration with each organization. TEC then provides tailored evaluation technical assistance to Caring for Denver grantees, focusing on five main areas: data collection tools, survey development, data analysis and visualization, qualitative data management, and evaluation planning. Most grantees receive around 15 hours of support, though this varied based on individual needs. Upon completion, grantees received summaries, user-friendly guidance, and full access to all tools and resources to support sustainability.
