Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights (COLOR) – Youth of COLOR Fellowship program
Summative Evaluation & Capacity Building
The Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Justice (COLOR) Youth of COLOR Fellowship program was launched in 2019. The program develops the leadership skills and capacity in Youth of Color around the topics of policy, organizing, and communications, particularly regarding Reproductive Justice. One individual is selected as a Fellow for each of the three topic areas. The Fellows work to mobilize their peers and communities to be more involved in the political process and Reproductive Justice. Fellows use a variety of tools, including storytelling, artivism, and workshops to engage their communities in advocacy.
The Evaluation Center worked with COLOR staff to develop an evaluation of the inaugural year of the Youth of COLOR Fellowship program and to train COLOR staff on developing their qualitative evaluation skills. Evaluators created three training webinars for COLOR and supported them through the process of designing, implementing, and analyzing qualitative data collaboratively.
