Madjelyn is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Medical Anthropology, focusing on qualitative research methods and the integration of arts-based approaches, at the University of Colorado Denver. As a Graduate Assistant at The Evaluation Center, she contributes to the evaluation efforts of the State Opioid Response (SOR) grant funded by Colorado’s Behavioral Health Administration by assisting with data collection.
Madjelyn earned her BFA in Film and TV Production in 2024, bringing a creative and visual perspective to her academic research. Her interests lie in exploring the social determinants of health, health disparities, and how qualitative data can offer deeper insights into these issues. She is particularly passionate about utilizing arts-based approaches to enhance community engagement and bring new depth to health research.
Originally from New York City, Madjelyn combines her diverse background with a deep commitment to blending storytelling and research in her work. Outside of her academic pursuits, she enjoys spending time outdoors, watching movies, and continues to develop her artistic skills outside of academic research.
