She/Her

Senior Evaluation Specialist

Emily is a Senior Evaluation Specialist with over eight years of experience in social science research and program evaluation. She is passionate about using data and evaluation to help organizations demonstrate their impact and make informed decisions about program planning. Emily thrives on collaboration and enjoys working alongside program leaders and community members to design evaluations that are practical, meaningful, and sustainable.

One of her notable projects is the evaluation of the Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) program under the State Opioid Response Grant, managed by the Behavioral Health Administration. This initiative helps families and friends of individuals with substance use disorders build skills and confidence to strengthen relationships and support treatment engagement. Emily’s evaluation team partners with more than 25 organizations statewide, ranging from treatment centers to community nonprofits, using surveys, interviews, and data monitoring to ensure the program truly makes a difference.

She also co-leads the evaluation for the Mountain Sentinels Alliance, a global network funded by the National Science Foundation. This work centers local and Indigenous knowledge to advance mountain resilience in the face of climate change. Emily and the evaluation team are intentional about the methods used in this evaluation, ensuring the process is responsive, flexible, and meaningful for all network members.

Emily also loves collaborating with nonprofits to build evaluation capacity. She works closely with her partners to ensure evaluation activities are meeting organizations where they are and creating evaluation strategies that fit their resources, goals, and are sustainable.

Emily holds a master’s degree in Medical Anthropology and a certificate in Latino Public Health, which fuels her passion for qualitative methods, storytelling, and advancing health equity. Outside of work, you’ll find her enjoying time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, reading, or watching a good movie.
