Jillian is currently in the Research & Evaluation program at CU Denver working towards a certificate in program evaluation. She is interested in learning how to use high-quality research and evaluation to make a difference in schools and community organizations. As a graduate assistant, she conducts data collection and analysis and develops data summaries and reports.
Jillian graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology with a focus in global health & environment. She conducted a research project with the non-profit Conservation Together, located in Kibale, Uganda, focused on examining how their land-use change programs improve human health outcomes. This report is published in Human Dimensions of Wildlife. Jillian has since dedicated her career to the non-profit sector, working primarily in youth programming. She spent the past two years providing math intervention in Commerce City public schools, and she currently provides youth and education-focused programming at a transitional housing non-profit in Denver, CO.
In her free time, Jillian enjoys baking, hiking, and reading.
