Drew Bick
He/Him
GPRA Lead
Drew recently completed a master’s degree in Anthropology at the University of Colorado Denver with a focus on Cultural Anthropology. His studies led him to his thesis in which he conducted interviews with neighborhood residents to better understand their hesitancy to Affordable housing development in their neighborhood.
As a GPRA Graduate Assistant Lead at The Evaluation Center, he assists in data collection, grant monitoring, and other evaluation efforts of the State Opioid Response (SOR) grant funded by the Colorado Office of Behavioral Health. He also helps in evaluation efforts on various projects as time allows.
Drew received his B.A. from The University at Albany while majoring in Linguistics and minoring in Anthropology and Psychology. Between his undergraduate and graduate careers, he spent several years bartending including some stints in national parks and other tourist locations. Drew is passionate about qualitative methods and the ways in which they provide new and nuanced information. He aims on using his skills in qualitative data collection and analysis to further understand and highlight health disparities, social determinants of health, and housing issues.
In his free time, Drew enjoys playing video games, watching TV or movies, and occasionally a long bike ride. He also enjoys giving plenty of love to his cat, Hyatt.
