As the SOR Coordinator at The Evaluation Center, Drew assists in data collection, grant monitoring, and other evaluation efforts of the State Opioid Response (SOR) grant funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). He also helps in evaluation efforts on various projects as time allows.
He received his B.A. from The University at Albany while majoring in Linguistics and minoring in Anthropology and Psychology. He more recently completed an M.A. in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Colorado Denver. His studies led him to his thesis in which he conducted interviews with individuals to better understand their hesitancy to Affordable housing development in their neighborhood.
He is passionate about qualitative methods and the ways in which they provide new and nuanced information. He aims to use his skills in qualitative data collection and analysis to further understand and highlight health disparities, social determinants of health, and housing issues.
Between his undergraduate and graduate careers, he spent several years bartending including some stints in national parks and other tourist locations. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, watching TV or movies, and occasionally a long bike ride. He also enjoys giving plenty of love to his cat, Hyatt.
